UKC CH Peppertrees Willow Of KhalleyWags FDC CGCA
AKC/UKC Red & white female
CAER normal (2019)
Willow is the newest addition to Khalley Wags! Khalley is her granddam. Her mother, Susie, has multiple agility titles, and her father is a beautiful European import with many champions and international champions in his pedigree. With very limited showing, Willow has earned her UKC Conformation Champion with one leg toward her Grand, and also has her AKC CGC, CGCA, and FDC (Farm Dog) titles. We submitted her xrays to pennHIP for evaluation, but they were rejected due to a claim of “not enough distraction”. (The vet that took the xrays had stated during the exam that her hips were the tightest he has ever seen on a corgi and thought that pennHIP might reject the xrays under the assumption that there wasn’t enough pressure applied during the distraction view. He assured me that there was sufficient pressure applied. They’re just really nice hips.) I was given the option to retake the xrays, which means putting her back under anesthesia and still risking rejection because her hips are so tight. I declined at this time. This vet is very experienced in orthopedics and pennHIP and was one of the first in the area to be certified nearly 30 years ago. If her hips were bad, he would tell me.
Dillon's Khaleesi - "Khalley"
AKC Red/Wht Female 28 pounds
OFA Prelims Hips & Elbows Normal
Eyes - slight Iris to Iris PPM
Owned by Khalley Wags Corgis
Khalley is the matriarch of our crew and where the name Khalley Wags came from. It's one of her many nicknames. Khalley is a sweetheart and about as independent as they come. She WANTS to be with us but doesn't NEED to be with us. Nothing clingy about her. She would much rather be playing or working than snuggling on the couch, but she will certainly jump in anyone's lap that will allow it for some petting and kisses. She turns into quite the cuddle bug as the day winds down. She’s a super athletic, high drive corgi that loves to stay busy. She is incredibly smart, has a strong desire to please, and needs a job. She was the self appointed, self taught seizure alert dog for our Doberman, Evee, and spent the first two years of her life keeping Evee out of harm's way. She also helps out by herding the guinea pigs into their boxes for the night when they are outside in the yard. After a very long search, we finally found a herding trainer and discovered what we’ve known all along - Khalley has a natural drive, instinct, and passion for herding! We will be doing this for fun a few times over the summer and see about getting her some formal training! Khalley has raised 3 beautiful litters for us and has been spayed and retired as of July 2018. She'll get to enjoy just being a dog and hanging with the rest of our crew including her daughter and granddaughter.
UKC CH KhalleyWags First To Be Sterling - "Furby"
AKC/UKC Red/Wht Female 27.5 pounds
Eyes CAER Normal with B/O
Owned by Khalley Wags Corgis
Furby is quite possibly the sweetest corgi on the planet, next to her father, Sterling. She is the most cuddly, snuggly corgi I have, but when playing or working, she has amazing drive and endless energy! During her first introduction to sheep she was moving them around the yard and penning them like a pro! She is FEARLESS and extremely confident. She learns very quickly and eagerly. If we're happy, she's happy. I have yet to find anything that fazes her. She's very calm and laid back, just like her daddy, but incredibly smart, athletic and driven to work (almost obsessively so) like her mom, Khalley. Furby earned her UKC Conformation Champion title in just one weekend her first time out.
